About the Role
Pet Food Express is seeking Temporary, Part-Time Store Clerks who are friendly, dependable, and ready to help our stores shine during the busy holiday season! Our Store Clerks play an important role in supporting a customer-first culture by taking on a variety of operational duties such as welcoming customers, stocking and organizing merchandise, assisting with our pet wash, and helping keep the store running smoothly so our Sales Consultants can focus on providing exceptional service.

This is a non-exempt, temporary part-time position. The role may be extended, end early, or potentially convert to a regular part-time position depending on staffing needs, performance, and other factors. Employees are typically reviewed around 90 days of employment for conversion consideration.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming environment for every customer
• Support our pet wash area
• Pick and package delivery products
• Assist customers with carry-outs and cart runs
• Unload and stock incoming merchandise
• Maintain product presentation and replace damaged or missing items
• Work with sales staff to ensure shelves are full and organized
• Keep warehouse and store areas clean and tidy (sweeping/mopping as needed)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A passion for pets and people
• Friendly, approachable, and dependable
• Previous customer service, inventory, or pet care experience is a plus
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (bags of kibble, litter, etc.)
• Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
