Position Overview The Recruiting Coordinator will play a key role in our talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for candidates across a variety of laboratory and technical positions. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers and HR to ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding. This role can be remote, but the candidate must live in VA, NC, FL, or MD. This role is a contract to assist with a large hiring initiative over the next 3-6 months. This role will be W2 so please no c2c candidates.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities - Identify, attract, and engage qualified candidates for laboratory and scientific roles using multiple channels (job boards, LinkedIn, networking, employee referrals, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-demand positions.
- Conduct phone screens to assess candidate experience, technical knowledge, communication skills, and overall fit for lab-based roles.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear summaries and recommendations.
- Schedule and confirm interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
- Manage interview logistics, including communication with candidates and coordination of multi-round or panel interviews.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (Paylocity) records and ensure data accuracy throughout the recruiting process.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to refine job postings and ensure alignment with department needs.
- Support onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the laboratory environment.
Necessary Qualifications To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally within a scientific or laboratory industry.
- Proven experience sourcing and screening candidates for specialized or hard-to-fill roles.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
Preferred Skills - Experience recruiting for laboratory, research, or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of scientific job titles and basic lab terminology.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced or high-volume recruiting setting.
- Experience with Paylocity ATS
