Sanico is a wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment across Upstate New York and Northeast PA. 

We are actively recruiting for a full-time (non-CDL) Truck Driver position. Although delivery routes are set up to be non-CDL, CDL driver applicants are welcome to apply. The position is based out of Sanico's main distribution center in Kirkwood, NY. 

Job Description: 
DRIVING
Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the driver will safely operate a 20-24’ straight truck to provide last-mile/foot delivery service in rigid accordance with our customer's specific instructions. From Kirkwood, our delivery service area includes Syracuse, Albany, Middletown, Newburgh, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA, Stroudsburg PA, Out-of-town delivery routes typically range anywhere from 15-20 stops and 150-200 miles.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Sanico drivers are Ambassadors for the company, and the final customer touch-point in our order cycle. The driver's interaction with the customer during delivery can make, or break, our business relationship. The right driver's attentiveness to fine detail will assure that the right order gets to the right customer at the right time, in a courteous, professional manner. Professional delivery service is integral to Sanico’s business model of adding value for customers.

In addition to completing daily delivery routes, the driver will be involved in the loading of their truck. Trucks are to be loaded the night before. Order shipping confirmation, manifesting and truck routing to be managed by the Shipping Manager. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

• Straight truck driving experience (pref 20-26')
• Extensive experience using a pallet jack & handtruck
• Good people skills for positive customer interaction
• Able to navigate and follow a route
• Able to operate a smartphone to obtain customer signature upon physical receipt of goods
• Pride in work, appearance
• Good communication skills
• Perfect attendance
• Professionalism

MUST HAVES: 

• DOT Medical card REQUIRED
• Active, clean driver’s license REQUIRED

Physical job requirements include:

• Independently manual lifting freight which can exceed 60 pounds
• Frequent climbing into/out of the delivery truck
• Ability to maneuver up and downstairs, ramps, etc. at delivery locations
• Exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates
