Systems Administrator Location Hybrid work in Houston, TX :

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and self-driven IT System Administrator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the client's IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, networks, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring maximum uptime and minimizing disruptions.
  • Implement security measures to protect the client's data and network from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software components.
  • Conduct system performance analysis and optimize resources to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and upgrades.
  • Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an IT System Administrator or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and hardware components.
  • Proficient in virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms.
  • Solid understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.) would be a plus.
