Job Description

ITTConnect is seeking a RPG Developer  to join our team. This is a new position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. Their client is in the Cruise / Travel Industry.

Job location : Miramar, Florida. Position is hybrid, Mon-Thu onsite in Miramar.

Responsibilities:

• Support custom reservation applications, written in RPG(all versions up to RPG Free), SQL, on the IBM-i (AS/400) platform
  
• Perform unit and integration testing
  
• Deploy fixes and enhancements
  
• Handle duty phone calls
  
• Own, investigate, and resolve reported defects
  
• Code software in a way that is reliable, efficient, reusable, and well documented
  
• Comply with company and department policies and procedures including Change Management, Incident Management, SOX, PCI, and coding standards
  
• Perform other duties as required
  
• Work experience on Agile methodologies preferred.
  

Requirements

• Strong programming skills with recent RPG and IBMi experience
• Minimum of 5 years RPG experience
• Proficient with several RPG versions such as RPG III, RPG IV, RPG ILE, and RPG Free
• Able to use Integrated Development Environments such as RDi, or RDp
• Working knowledge of IWS, JSON preferred
• Experience with analytical tools such as Hawkeye and X-Analysis
• Familiar with change management tools such as Turnover and Aldon
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of MQ Series, JWalk, LegaSuite, Confluence, JIRA, Remedy, or Clarity preferred
