Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. This contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage full-cycle accounting for multiple investment properties and fund entities. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data while collaborating closely with property management and asset management teams. Responsibilities: - Perform all aspects of full-cycle accounting for investment properties, including journal entries and reconciliations. - Prepare accurate financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders. - Manage month-end close activities, ensuring compliance with established timelines. - Conduct detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed. - Support budgeting processes by providing detailed financial data and analysis. - Collaborate with property and asset management teams to ensure financial goals are met. - Maintain and update general ledger accounts to ensure accurate data reporting. - Utilize Yardi software for property accounting tasks and reporting. - Oversee operational expense (OPEX) tracking and reporting. Requirements - Proven experience in property accounting, preferably with investment properties. - Proficiency in Yardi software for property management and accounting. - Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general ledger maintenance. - Expertise in managing month-end close processes efficiently. - Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports. - Solid understanding of operational expense (OPEX) management. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. - Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
