Job Title – Maintenance Supervisor Company Location – Long Beach, CA 100% On-site, Full Time Salary Range; $125k-140k, DOE *** NOTE: Work Schedule: Job Summary of the Maintenance Supervisor position Integr8staff seeks a proven Maintenance Supervisor to lead a food manufacturer in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant utilities, processing, packaging, and facility systems.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor position Lead and assign maintenance technicians to Work Orders (WOs) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks; ensure accurate documentation and close-out in the CMMS.
Acts as the shift’s primary technical decision-maker; assess severity, determine go/no-go, and escalate issues as needed.
Lend end-of-shift updates summarizing issues resolved, carry-over items, and safety/quality concerns.
Execute company policies and SOPs; uphold safety programs including LOTO, confined space, hot work, and GMP requirements.
Verify timecards, monitor attendance, and manage team performance.
Coach, train, and evaluate maintenance staff; identify skill gaps and support development plans.
Collaborate with Production leadership to balance throughput needs with equipment care.
Supervise utilities and facility systems; respond to calls and lead troubleshooting efforts.
Verify completion and quality of PM tasks.
Generate corrective WOs and ensure spare parts availability.
Maintain a clean, organized shop and enforce 5S practices.
Work with vendors and contractors and ensure safe, compliant work.
Usher or support continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, OEE, and predictive maintenance.
Lead unionized employees in accordance with the CBA, company policies, and workplace rules.
Work with HR and management on attendance, performance, and conduct issues.
Mentor employees on safe work practices, policies, procedures, guidelines, and rules.
Lead weekly safety meetings.
Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Maintenance Supervisor position Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Experience with a CMMS (e.g., Hippo, eMaint, Asset Manager).
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge; ability to read prints and schematics.
Basic PLC/controls literacy; advanced knowledge a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, chemicals, and industrial equipment.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed to support plant operations
