Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, dynamic, and charismatic Karaoke Jockey to lead a lively and engaging Main Stage experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music, public speaking, and customer service, with the ability to entertain and connect with diverse audiences. This role also involves technical knowledge of lighting and sound equipment.

The ideal candidate is part performer, part host, and part technical operator—someone who thrives in front of a crowd, understands how to read a room, and knows how to keep the momentum flowing seamlessly throughout the night. Previous experience in marketing or public speaking is a plus, along with strong communication skills and a confident stage presence. The Karaoke Jockey will play a vital role in fostering a fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back.

Responsibilities

Performance and Crowd Engagement

• Serve as host and master of ceremonies for all Main Stage karaoke sessions.
• Introduce and thank performers with enthusiasm and warmth, making each guest feel welcomed and celebrated.
• Lean and energize the crowd- encouraging sing-alongs, applause, and participation to keep the room alive.
• Perform select songs as needed to set the tone, boost energy, or fill brief gaps in the rotation.
• Provide backup vocals or harmonies when appropriate to elevate guest performances and offer support.

Technical Management

• Manage the song queue efficiently and fairly to ensure a smooth, well-paced flow of performers.
• Operate the venue’s audio system, adjusting microphone levels and sound balance as needed.
• Control stage lighting and light shows in real time, timing cues to the music and performer energy.
• Seamlessly integrate transition music, interstitial tracks, or house music between singers and during breaks.

Atmosphere and Support

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where singers of all skill levels feel confident taking the stage.
• Engage positively with guests, offering encouragement, humor, and genuine enthusiasm.
• Adapt gracefully to the energy of the room and handle unexpected changes with professionalism and ease.

Skills

• Excellent public speaking and communication skills to entertain and engage diverse audiences
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create a fun and inclusive environment
• Knowledge of marketing principles to promote events effectively
• Passion for music, dancing, or performing arts is highly desirable
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism
• Confidence in managing technical equipment related to karaoke systems
• Physical stamina for activities such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
• Outgoing personality with the ability to think quickly and adapt to different crowd dynamics
• Must be available for evening and late-night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
