Executive Sous Chef

Stevenson, WA – Skamania Lodge
Salary: $80,000 - $82,000 /year

Skamania Lodge is seeking a talented and driven Executive Sous Chef to join our team. In this role, you’ll help lead our culinary operations, support the Executive Chef, and ensure every guest enjoys a world-class dining experience.

Your Role

• Act as Executive Chef in their absence
• Support the Executive Chef with HR functions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with all codes
• Supervise and participate in outlet and banquet kitchen operations, including food prep and warewashing
• Coordinate kitchen activities across departments to ensure success
• Assist with menu creation for buffets, à la carte dining, banquets, and special events
• Collaborate on recipes and culinary standards
• Set clear team objectives and review daily agendas
• Inspect food quality and report concerns promptly
• Prepare and submit required reports

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience as a Department Chef, Banquet Chef, or similar
• Culinary Arts certificate or related field (Preferred)
• WA State Food Handler’s Card (Required)
• ServSafe Manager Certification (Optional)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments
