Position Summary:

Landmark Hospitality is currently looking for an experienced Culinary Arts Instructor to join our team!

Landmark Hospitality is a multi-faceted leader in the hospitality industry, that owns and operates unique and iconic venues throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania including boutique hotels, restaurants, and event spaces. The company founded a non-profit training school, Art of Hospitality Workers Alliance, in 2019 where it provides education and training to individuals with an interest in working in the hospitality industry. We are currently looking for an industry-experienced Chef Instructor to teach a 12-week training program 2 days per week 9AM-2PM with an hour break in between.

This position is ideal for someone looking to earn extra experience and cash. The 12-week program will begin the 2 nd week of November and run until January. There is opportunity to continue teaching with Art of Hospitality upon completion of the program. This is a contract position. Instructor will receive a 1099 at the conclusion of the program.

The location of the training program is in Vineland, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Art of Hospitality Executive Director to draft curriculum and plans for each class session.
• Provide recipes and ingredient lists at least 1 week prior to class for ordering.
• Provide education and training to class including vocabulary, skills, safety, sanitation and cleaning and basic culinary arts.
• Ensure workplace/classroom is thoroughly cleaned prior to classroom dismissal.
• Assist in teaching and preparing students for the ServSafe Food Manager Exam.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of teaching/training experience a plus.
• 8+ years' experience in hospitality.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certified a plus.
• Ability to lead and teach with patience and kindness.
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• This position is on-site at our homebase office in Plainfield, NJ.
• Must have a passion for the industry and education.

Schedule: 2 days per week, 9AM-11AM, Break, 12PM-2PM (class time) Additional time as needed for class preparation and recipe development. Vineland NJ. Class days are flexible based on the availability of the instructor but much not change once the class begins.
