Configuration/Release Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Configuration/Release Manager to play a pivotal role in our software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for overseeing the entire release process, from configuration management to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage source code versions using IBM ClearCase and collaborate with developers on version control best practices.
• Analyze and work with MSBuild configurations, leveraging your expertise in C++ and C#.
• Champion DevOps methodologies to automate the build and release pipeline for increased efficiency.
• Build and package software using MSI creation tools.
• Automate tasks and workflows using PowerShell scripting.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans and documentation.
• Conduct thorough release testing and manage any arising issues.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful deployments.
• Continuously monitor and improve release processes, identifying opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a configuration management or release management role.
• Proven experience with source control systems, particularly IBM ClearCase.
• Strong understanding of C++ and C# for working with MSBuild configurations.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience building and deploying software using MSI packages.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating tasks.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Knowledge of cloud deployment platforms with Azure.
