Position Summary

PIPECARE US LLC is seeking to hire a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant – North America - to support end-to-end accounting operations with a strong focus on project accounting, cost control, and financial accuracy. This role plays a key part in managing AP/AR, cash flow, and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls. The ideal candidate is experienced with accounting software like QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics, and has a strong understanding of general and project-specific accounting in a fast-paced environment.

 

General responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle project accounting, including budget tracking, cost allocation, and variance analysis
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, working closely with project managers to ensure accuracy
• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections
• Develop and manage payment schedules and maintain an accurate cash flow forecast
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes
• Ensure accurate general ledger postings and account reconciliations
• Process journal entries, bank reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting packages
• Work within Microsoft Dynamics and/or QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date records and financial entries
• Ensure tax compliance and assist with audit preparations and documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support operational and strategic decisions

Qualifications

• Experience in industries such as engineering, manufacturing, energy, or oil & gas
• Exposure to budgeting software and project management tools
• Knowledge of U.S. & Canada tax regulations, especially sales/use tax & 1099 compliance

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
• Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
• Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
• Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
• Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
