Overview

SOSi is seeking a Section 508 Compliance Analyst to join our team on site in Ft. Belvoir, VA providing 508 Compliance support for our government customer.

Essential Job Duties

• Assist the government with continual testing through multiple audits of all ICT items.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance of ICT and provide remediation guidance and assistance.
• Identify ways to support ICT to improve digital accessibility compliance.
• Identify ways to support ICT to improve Section 508 requirement understanding.
• Assist with identifying critical accessibility issues and provide recommended solutions.
• Work with the Training Curriculum Developer to address 508 compliance training materials.
• Support IT governance by integration Section 508 into the development and acquisition lifecycle.
• Promote the successful adoption of the changes required to ensure all digital accessibility of 508 compliance.
• Resolve critical accessibility issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• In-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance is required or Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least 2 years of specialized experience as a Section 508 analyst.
• Experience providing expert consultative and program support for a Section 508 program.
• Experience as a subject matter expertise regarding Section 508 policy and oversight.
• Assist the Government with any Section 508 requirements that will ensure the customer is compliant with the guidelines and policies written.
• Be an excellent communicator and well-versed in explaining and implementing accessibility and disability standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to provide guidance on remediating non-compliant Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
• Ability to promote a common understanding of the 508 standards.

Work Environment

• Working conditions as normal for an office environment.
• On government site within Ft. Belvoir, VA. (No hybrid or remote work available.)
