Darshan started its Vocational Training Institute at Jaipur started with computer courses in November 2006 with only four hearing impaired (deaf and dumb) students. All the students are hearing impaired and the training is free of all costs. Qualified and trained hearing-impaired teachers using sign language train them on computers. In 2007, the number increased to ten students. In 2008 this increased to 13 students. In 2009 there were 20 HI students for computers – all were learning MS Office and DTP (Corel Draw and Photoshop) However for economic reasons not all parents, especially those living away from Jaipur in other towns and cities were able to sustain their children to staying back in Jaipur to continue their education, despite the course being free of cost. Since 2010 up to 2019 we have trained a total of 156 students. In 2010-6, 2011 – 29, 2012 -33, 2013 – 7, 2014—5, 2015 – 14, 2016 – 7, 2017 -23, 2018 -13 & 2019-19. In 2019, The certificates were distributed by Shri TJ Ravi Shankar and Mr Ashish Deshpande of TATA Trust.
