SUPPORT US

Darshan trains and develops special skills for hearing-impaired students to give them hope for an enduring future. By providing targeted information technology skills, the children are also introduced to the digital world.

We provide completely free education to hearing-impaired children. They come from very poor families, and parents often come to us from long distances so that we can educate their children.

In this context, transportation plays a vital part as the father is usually a daily wager or farmer and needs to go to work; the mother is a homemaker. The parents have neither the means nor the time to bring their children to school. Hence it becomes our responsibility to provide suitable as well as safe daily transport for the children.

Apart from giving the children an education through sensitive and specially-trained teachers, the children are also trained by speech therapists so that they are able to speak to the best of their ability, thereby being able to communicate in society and in future jobs.

The children are given a midday meal and other nourishing foods to support their growth and physical wellbeing.

Extra-curricular activities such as sports, art and crafts, and yoga are naturally a part of every school child’’ education.

For all this, we are constantly in need of financial support or support in terms of other resources as we take absolutely no fees.

Will you support us in whatever way you can? Together, we can help transform the lives of poor, disadvantaged and specially-abled children, and give them the opportunity to lead empowered and fulfilling lives in society!
